I am a Colombian artist and yoga teacher living in Brooklyn New York. With more than 16 years of teaching experience I was certified by Om Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga School and Yoga4Cancer teacher trainings in New York City. I lived among the Tayrona people (Kogi, Arhuaco, Wiwa), the indigenous communities from La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia and learned from the Mamos and Zagas (wise men and women) about their worldview and relationship to the earth.
I started a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to offer yoga practices as an alternative therapy for healing and forgiveness for people affected by the armed conflict in Colombia. I continue to collaborate with Dunna Organization in Colombia. I teach weekly yoga in New York and continue to lead retreats in Peru.
Yoga 4 cancer NYC, Yoga Tayrona Colombia, Cuesta Serena Peru, Private Yoga classes in New York City.
When and where did you complete your teacher training?
Om Yoga Center 2002, Jivamukti Yoga School 2003, Yoga 4 Cancer 2016.
What is your favorite hyde outfit?
I love the long cami, colleen pants, taylor tank.
Why do you want to represent hyde?
After practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching for 16 years, I have used many different brands of yoga clothing. Hyde continues to be my favorite because of the beauty of the designs and the integrity of the materials used to create each piece. I like wearing yoga clothing that is made in alignment with the philosophy of the yoga practice.
